BMA and JASPAL GROUP Unveil the Thailand Fashion Sustainability Movement Revitalizing Clothing, Creating Value, Fostering Sustainability, and Giving Back to Society

Mr.Chadchart Sittipunt, Bangkok Governor and Mr. Visith Singhsachathet, Chairman of Executive Committee of Jaspal Public Company Limited launched the Thailand Fashion Sustainability Movement. This transformative project, a collaborative effort between JASPAL GROUP and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), aims to promote environmental sustainability in the Thai fashion industry through the revival of clothing that are no longer in circulation. The creatively redesigned clothing items will be donated to various organizations, charities, and communities in need, amplifying the impact of sustainable practices.

“Recognizing the significance of environmental sustainability, JASPAL GROUP is committed to fostering the collective and simultaneous growth of the organization, communities, and the environment. With unsold and unused clothing items in our stock each year, JASPAL GROUP sees the opportunity to optimize resource utilization and give these items new, purposeful value. This initiative led to the inception of the Thailand Fashion Sustainability Movement, a project intended to rejuvenate these garments through modification and aesthetic enhancements, resulting in new and beautiful designs. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, particularly the Environmental Affairs Department, will handle the distribution of the redesigned and donated clothes through various organizations and charitable foundations to provide these modified pieces to those in need. The collaboration extends to joint efforts in developing other creative activities in environmental sustainability, providing tangible contributions and benefits to society,” stated Mr. Khevin Singhsachathet, General Manager of Jaspal Public Company Limited.

In addition to the collaboration with JASPAL GROUP, five leading Thai universities, namely Thammasat University, Bangkok University, Srinakharinwirot University, Silpakorn University and Rangsit University, have also lent their support to the project. Fashion Design students from these institutions, as representatives of the younger generation, will contribute their ideas and design skills to creating works that encapsulate and promote the concept of environmental sustainability. Through this special collaboration, the project hopes to cultivate the environmentally conscious mindset among young-generation designers, who will be a vehement driving force behind the future of the Thai fashion industry.

The “Thailand Fashion Sustainability Movement” marks a significant stride towards sustainable practices in the fashion industry alongside JASPAL GROUP’s evolving business operations. Emphasizing the impact of their diverse developmental initiatives, JASPAL GROUP consistently strives to raise environmental awareness through the creation of the brand’s sustainable collections sourced from natural and eco-friendly materials and environmentally sustainable production processes.
